Audi A7 Sportback's three V6 petrol direct injection engines use a number of Audi's efficient vehicle technology. The quattro full-time four-wheel drive system and the S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds, with a top speed of 235 km/h and an average fuel consumption of 8.6 litres per 100 km.

The other engine is the “Top Ten Engines of the Year 2011” – 3.0 TFSI, with a fast response to the throttle, with a maximum output of 228 kW (310 hp) and a peak torque of 440 Nm at 2,900 rpm. . With the quattro full-time four-wheel drive system and the S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission, it takes only 5.6 seconds to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h. It has the performance of a sports car, and the speed is limited to 250 km/h by electronic devices. The overall fuel consumption is unbelievably low: only 9.1 liters per 100 kilometers.
