A brief history of the US Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company

1898: Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company established

1908: Goodyear supplies original tires for the world's first production car, the Ford T-Series

1965: The creation of a 960 km/h world-class rocket car using Goodyear tires

1970: The first time humans landed on the moon, the space vehicle was equipped with Goodyear tires.

1985: Goodyear becomes the first supplier of radial tires for commercial aircraft

1992: Goodyear introduces Aquatreed tires - the first tire designed for wet road conditions

1994: Goodyear became the first foreign well-known tire manufacturer to invest and build in China, and established Dalian Goodyear Tire Co., Ltd.

1998: Goodyear created 368 championships in F1, and is still three times as many as the second tire brand.

2005: Goodyear announces an investment of 18 million US dollars to invest in the production of “lack of gas” tires in Dalian, becoming the first tire company to manufacture “air-deficient” tires in China.

The corporate brand is ranked 319th in the 2006 World Brand Top 500 list compiled by the World Brand Lab.
