The prone sled used in the competition is made of steel, and the same sled must be used in the two races during the preliminaries. If the sled is damaged during the race, the spare sled can be reported to participate in the race.

The sled used in the men’s competition is regulated not to exceed 43 kilograms, and the combined weight of the sled and the runners shall not exceed 115 kilograms.

If the athlete’s weight plus the weight of the sled exceeds 115 kg, the weight of the sled shall not be less than 33 kg. The sled size ranges from 80 to 120 cm in length and 8 to 20 cm in height.

The total weight of women's athletes and sleds shall not exceed 92 kg, and the net weight of the sled shall not exceed 35 kg. If the weight of the sled plus the rider exceeds 92 kg, the net weight of the sled shall not be less than 29 kg. The sled specifications are the same as the men's.

If the weight is insufficient, heavy objects can be added to the sled, but no heavy objects should be placed on the runner. The part of the snowboard where the sled is in contact with the ground must be made of steel, without any painting on it, or any design that can be heated to increase speed. Before the race, the athletes send the sled to the starting point. After inspection, the temperature difference between the sled snowboard during the race and when it is sent shall not exceed 4 degrees Celsius.

A player’s snow boots can have up to 8 spikes, and the spikes must not exceed 7 cm in length. All contestants must wear full-face helmets to maintain safety above the neck.
