Mechanical water bath is a bath therapy method that uses mechanical pressure to make mineral water flow in various ways to increase the mechanical stimulation of mineral water to the human body. Mechanical water baths are widely used in developed countries, and some nursing homes and physical therapy rehabilitation homes in China have also begun to use them. Common mechanical water bath methods mainly include the following:
(1) Bubble water bath means that while taking a bath, a certain pressure, temperature and gas beam are applied to the water through the foaming board, so that the water in the bath will form a series of blisters and splashes in a large area, and carry out different levels of skin on various parts of the human body. The impact, absorption and massage make the bathers feel like they are in the spray of a fountain, full of comfortable and natural fun, to achieve the purpose of fitness and curing diseases. This kind of hydrotherapy not only has a good therapeutic effect on the rehabilitation of sports system diseases, but also has obvious effects on athletes and actors to quickly relieve fatigue and restore physical strength.
(2) Wave bath and whirlpool bath refers to the use of mechanical methods to make the water in the bathtub continue to move regularly or irregularly, resulting in waves and whirlpools. Generally, the inlet of mineral water is at the bottom of the bath, and the outlet is at the upper part of the bath to keep the pool water clean. This type of balneotherapy can increase the stimulation of mineral water to the human body, which is beneficial to the recovery of patients with hemiplegia and limited physical activity, as well as relaxation and weight loss.
(3) Pressurized jet bath is generally operated by medical staff. The method is to allow the patient to stand 2.5 to 3 meters in front of the console, facing away from the console, and the surgeon sprays dense pressurized mineral water with a water gun to the bather. The spray sequence is: first from the back of the shoulders down to the feet, then to the side, then the chest and abdomen to the lower limbs. Generally it can be completed in 2 minutes. Note that the water column should move continuously and spray evenly. This method is suitable for obesity, nerve paralysis, muscle atrophy and fitness and health care.
