Magnetite Introduction

Magnetite refers to the ore of the oxide mineral magnetite. Is an equiaxed crystal system. The crystals are octahedral and dodecahedron. The crystal face has stripes. Mostly granular aggregates. Iron black, or dark blue indigo color. The streaks are black and semi-metallic. opaque. No cleavage. The fracture is not flat. Hardness 5.5~6.5. Density 5.16 ~ 5.18g/cm3. With strong magnetism. Brittle. Odorless and tasteless. It is often produced in magmatic rocks and metamorphic rocks.
