How to handle the car on fire?

1. The car must understand the basic information of their own vehicles so that the first time to inform the firefighters, it is best to know the type of power battery, capacity, installation location, the system maximum voltage, high voltage line, etc., this knowledge is very useful in the rescue.

2. Power off. An accident occurs in an electric vehicle. If conditions permit, the power should be turned off for the first time. Put the sensor key at least 10 meters away from the car, and it is best to put a signal shielding bag.

3. Protection against electricity. If you or others are trapped, you must not demoralize, because the voltage of a typical electric car is as high as 380V, which is enough to cause life threat to the human body. Here, we must use the first knowledge reserve to avoid blindly using the rescue tools to penetrate the shield, or to puncture, cut, split, or disassemble any structure of the vehicle, which will cause the high-voltage system to be isolated from the outside world and cause the danger of electric shock.

4. Antivirus. After the battery catches fire, it will produce a lot of toxic gases such as hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen cyanide. If trapped people cannot get out of trouble temporarily, it is necessary to cover the nose and mouth with a wet towel and protect the trapped people with a fire blanket.

5. Watering. If the fire does not spread to the battery compartment, try using a dry powder to extinguish the fire. Once the battery fires, a lot of water is needed. On the one hand, the temperature is reduced. On the other hand, the toxic gas is diluted because the ignition temperature of the fuel vehicle is only about 500° C., and the battery ignition temperature is usually as high as about 1000° C. When watering, people must be 10-15 meters away from the vehicle to prevent electric shock caused by battery leakage.

6. Observe. After the fire of the electric vehicle is extinguished, one must wait for one hour after not extinguishing the smoke to prevent the residual heat of the battery from catching fire again.
