Heterocyclic polymers are formed from monomers containing heteroatoms during the polymerization process accompanied by ring-closure reaction, and can also be formed from the polymerization of heterocyclic compounds containing reactive bifunctional groups. Mainly stable five-membered heterocyclic and six-membered heterocyclic structures, with aromatic or near-aromatic properties.
