Proteome research content

Aug 06, 2020

There are two main aspects, one is structural proteomics, and the other is functional proteomics. Its research frontiers are roughly divided into three areas:

① Establish the proteome or subproteome and its proteome linkage group for organisms or tissue cells related to the genome or transcriptome database, that is, constitutive proteomics.

② Perform local proteomics or comparative proteomics of important physiological and pathological systems or processes for important life processes or major human diseases.

③ To study the interaction between proteins through a variety of advanced technologies and map the proteins of a certain system, that is, interactive proteomics, also known as "cell atlas" proteomics.

In addition, with the deepening of proteomics research, some new research directions have emerged, such as subcellular proteomics and quantitative proteomics. Proteomics is an important research method of systems biology.
