Physical properties of wolframite
The color and streak change with the content of Fe and Mn. The higher the Fe content, the darker the color. The tungsten-manganese ore is light red, light purple and brown-black; the wolframite is brown-black to black; the wolframite is black. The streaks are lighter in color, tungsten-manganese ore is yellowish brown-yellow, and tungsten ore is dark brown-black. Diamond luster-semi-metallic luster. Cleave completely. Brittle. Hardness 4~5.5. The relative density is 7.18~7.51, which also increases with the increase of Fe content. Those rich in Fe are weakly magnetic.
