Introduction to Excimer Laser
A laser that uses the excited emission between the bound high-energy state of the excimer and the repulsive or weakly bound ground state. Due to the extremely short ground state lifetime, high efficiency and high average power can be achieved. The main excimer of excimer laser is noble gas excimer and noble gas halide excimer. The laser emission wavelength is mainly in the ultraviolet and vacuum ultraviolet region, and the output energy has reached the order of one hundred joules. It is used for optically pumped dye lasers, isotope separation and laser chemistry.
