Hydraulic seal installation
1 Check the relevant surfaces of the piston, cylinder and mounting guide sleeve, clean, burr-free, and free of edges.
2 The installation tool requires smooth, edgeless, sharp corners to ensure that the seal is not damaged in any way during installation (Othello's OTH-0003 hydraulic seal special installation tool is recommended).
3 Install a small amount of grease on the seal and cylinder-related surface to facilitate installation, but no grease is allowed between the rubber elastomer and the sliding seal ring, otherwise the sealing performance will be affected.
4 The coaxiality of the piston and the cylinder should be maintained for both vertical and horizontal installations. Excessive eccentricity may damage the seal.
5 The installation speed should not be too fast, otherwise the seal will be damaged.
