Definition of embedded electrodes
The embedded electrode is the electrode where the embedded reaction occurs. The so-called intercalation reaction is the reaction in which guest particles (also called intercalants, mainly anions and cations) are inserted into the host lattice (also called intercalation) to generate non-stoichiometric compounds.
