Classification of car cabs

From the form of the cab, it can be divided into long head type, flat head type, short head type, extended type and flip type.

Long head cab

Located in the cab behind the engine. The advantages are: 1 compact structure and good rigidity. 2 Easy to inspect and repair the engine. 3 is isolated from the engine, does not overheat in summer, and is not easy to break into the exhaust. The disadvantage is that the length and wheelbase of the car are large and the field of view is poor.

Flat cab

The engine is in the cab at the lower rear. The advantages are: 1 the car has a small length and wheelbase. It can reduce the quality of vehicle maintenance and improve maneuverability. 2 wide view. The flat-head cab has gradually become the mainstream of the truck cab. The disadvantage is mainly that it is not convenient to inspect and repair the engine. To this end, a convertible cab has been developed.

Lengthen the cab

Extend the cab to the regular cab. In the ordinary cab, there is only one row of seats. To lengthen the cab, lengthen the back of the row of seats and set up a second row of seats or sleepers. The common form of the extended cab is to set up a second row of seats. China calls the double-row cab. It can be used as a passenger and cargo vehicle, or it can be loaded with unloading personnel, which is very convenient. Another form of extension of the cab is the addition of a sleeper. Sleepers can be single-layered or double-layered. This form is very popular in long-distance trucks abroad. For long-distance transportation, two drivers are usually driven in turn, and one of them can rest on the berth.

Foldable cab

Refers to the flat cab that can be tipped forward. It has been widely adopted by trucks. The main disadvantage of the flat cab is that it is not convenient to inspect and repair the engine. The reversible cab was developed for this problem. The entire cab can be tilted forward around a turning axis in front of the front. Usually, the rear part of the cab is locked by the locking mechanism. When the engine needs to be overhauled, the locking mechanism is opened and the cab can be tilted forward at a certain angle so that the driver and maintenance personnel can approach the engine. At the shaft, the torsion bar spring is usually used to bear part of the gravity of the cab. When it is necessary to tip over, the cab can be turned up with less force
