Chuck maintenance method

1, in order to protect the lathe chuck often used after a long time, there is still good precision, lubrication work is very important. Improper or improper lubrication will cause problems such as improper function at low pressure, weak clamping force, poor clamping accuracy, abnormal wear and seizure, so the chuck must be properly lubricated.

2, at least once a day, molybdenum disulfide grease (black color), the grease into the chuck nozzle until the grease overflows the jaw surface or the inner hole of the chuck (the inner hole protection sleeve and the joint nut), but if When the chuck is rotated or a large amount of water-based cutting oil is used in processing, more lubrication is required, which is determined according to different conditions.

3. When the operation is finished, be sure to clean the chuck body and the slide surface with a wind gun or similar tool.

4. Remove the chuck at least every 6 months to disassemble and clean, keep the sliding surface of the jaw clean and lubricate, and increase the life of the chuck. However, if the cast iron is cleaned at least once or twice every 2 months, check whether the parts are broken or worn. In severe cases, replace the new one immediately. After the inspection is completed, the oil must be fully supplied to form.

5. For different workpieces, different clamping methods must be used or special fixtures must be selected. The three-jaw chuck is only a general-purpose type of jig, and it is used to clip irregular or strange workpieces, which will cause damage to the chuck! If the chuck pressure is not normal, the chuck will be under high pressure, or the machine The chuck will also clamp the workpiece after shutting down, which will reduce the life of the chuck! So when you find that the chuck gap is too large, you must replace the new chuck immediately.

6, using the anti-rust effect cutting oil, can prevent the inside of the chuck rust, because the rust of the chuck will reduce the clamping force, and can not clamp the workpiece
