Causes and troubleshooting of carburetor oil leakage
1. Foreign matter adheres to the contact surface between the needle valve and the valve seat
Reason: The needle valve and the valve seat are used to control the oil intake. The sealing requirements are strict and the contact surface finish is high. If foreign matter adheres to the contact surface, the needle valve and the valve seat will not be tightly sealed, and oil leakage will occur. Foreign matter mainly refers to impurities and condensed colloids in gasoline. Therefore, to avoid such failures, users should pay attention to regularly clean the fuel filter and use good quality gasoline.
Remedy: Clean according to the carburetor cleaning method mentioned above.
2, needle valve wear
the reason:
1) The needle valve is worn during the long-term use due to the scouring of impurities contained in the gasoline and contact with the valve seat;
2) The two ends of the float pontoon are unbalanced, which causes the needle valve to be stressed and worn laterally. The needle valve wear causes the valve seat to be tightly sealed and leaks oil.
Method of exclusion:
1) Replace the needle valve, and the user should pay attention to regularly clean the fuel filter and use good quality gasoline;
2) Replace the needle valve and adjust both ends of the float float to be on the same level.
3, the float is issued
the reason:
1) The float is in contact with the float chamber wall by long-term soaking and expansion deformation of the gasoline;
2) The float pin and the body float pin hole are enlarged by the long-term friction gap, causing the float to contact the float chamber wall. The float is issued so that the needle valve cannot be returned, resulting in oil leakage.
Method of exclusion:
1) If the float is deformed, replace the float;
2) If the outer diameter of the float pin becomes smaller, replace the float pin. If the pin hole of the main body is worn out, the carburetor can only be replaced.
4, the float is damaged or immersed in gasoline
Reason: If the float is damaged or immersed in gasoline, the weight and buoyancy of the float will change, causing the oil level to rise and causing oil leakage.
Remedy: Replace the float.
