Catalytic activity refers to the ability of a substance to catalyze, and is one of the important properties of a catalyst. Industrial production is often expressed in terms of the number of reactants converted to raw materials per unit volume (or mass) of catalyst per unit time, such as the number of kilograms per cubic meter of catalyst that can convert raw materials per hour.
