Brief introduction of metal foil
Metal foil is a very thin metal sheet, which is generally manufactured by hammer forging or rolling. Most of the metal foils will use materials with good ductility, such as aluminum, copper, tin and gold. Metal foil generally bends due to its own weight and is easily torn. The better the ductility of the metal, the thinner the metal foil that can be made. For example, the thickness of aluminum foil can generally reach 1/1000 inch (0.03mm), and the more ductile gold can be made into a gold foil with a thickness of only a few atoms.
