Actinomycetes is a special group of prokaryotes that can form branched hyphae and conidia. It grows like hyphae and reproduces mainly by spores. It is named after the colonies are radial. Most have developed branching hyphae. The hyphae are slender and the width is close to that of rod-shaped bacteria, about 0.2-1.2 microns. It can be divided into: vegetative hyphae, also called intrabasal hyphae or primary hyphae, whose main function is to absorb nutrients, and some can produce different pigments, which is an important basis for bacterial species identification; aerial hyphae, stacked On vegetative hyphae, it is also called secondary hyphae; spore hyphae, aerial hyphae develop to a certain stage, on which spore-forming hyphae can be differentiated.
