VTEC engine introduction
VTEC is the advanced engine technology developed by Honda, and the world's first valve control system that can control both the valve opening and closing time and the lift. VTEC is the English abbreviation of English Variable ValveTiming and Valve Lift Electronic Control System. Its Chinese meaning is "variable valve timing timing and valve lift electronic control system". Compared with ordinary engines, VTEC engines differ in the number and control methods of cams and rockers. They have two different types of valve-driven cams, medium and low speed and high speed, and can be automatically converted by electronic control system adjustment. Through the VTEC system device, the engine can automatically change the opening time and the degree of lifting of the valve according to the driving condition, that is, change the intake air amount and the exhaust volume, thereby achieving the purpose of increasing power, reducing fuel consumption and reducing pollution.
