Volatile matter means that when the coal is heated at 900±10degrees Celsius for 7 minutes under the condition of isolating the air, the organic matter and part of the minerals in the coal will be decomposed into gas (such as carbon monoxide, methane and other combustible gases) and liquid Overflow, minus the moisture in the coal from the overflow is the volatile matter.
