Megalodon means "big tooth" in Greek. This shark is an average of 14 meters long and 40 tons in weight. The fossils of some of the vertebral bones of the megalodon that have been discovered are much larger than those of the great white shark. It is speculated that its maximum length range is 18 meters, [1] weighing 50 to 70 tons, and it is one of the largest predators in history. The largest fish, but no complete spine bone fossil has been found to prove its speculation. Megalodon may be the creature with the strongest bite force found in the history of the earth. The maximum bite force is estimated to be about 20 tons. Its mouth bite force exceeds that of Tyrannosaurus rex and can easily crush the ribs of whales. Living in the Late Miocene 15 million years ago to the Early Pleistocene 2.6 million years ago, they are the top marine predators in their survival years. They are hailed by many paleontologists as the most powerful creatures in the history of the earth.
