Steam jet pump
The water vapor jet pump is a jet vacuum pump that uses water vapor as the working medium and can directly exhaust the atmosphere. This kind of pump starts fast, occupies a small area, a wide working pressure range, a large pumping capacity, and can pump out dusty, corrosive, flammable and explosive gases. It is more economical if the surplus or waste steam can be used. The disadvantages of this pump are the high investment in civil construction (some installation heights require more than 10m) and large cooling water consumption. The compression ratio of a single-stage steam jet pump is generally not more than 10.
