Potassium carbonate

Potassium carbonate is an inorganic substance with a chemical formula of K2CO3 and a molecular weight of 138.206. It is a white crystalline powder with a density of 2.428g/cm3 and a melting point of 891°C. Easily soluble in water, the aqueous solution is alkaline, insoluble in ethanol, acetone and ether. It has strong hygroscopicity and can absorb carbon dioxide and moisture when exposed to the air and transform into potassium bicarbonate, which should be sealed and packaged.
