Introduction to Trap Center
This is a deep-level impurity or defect. The characteristic of the trap center is that the effect of trapping one carrier is particularly strong, while the effect of trapping another carrier is particularly weak, then the trap center has the function of storing one carrier. For example, electron traps play a role in storing electrons, and hole traps play a role in storing holes. In general, the energy level of the trap center is shallower than that of the compound center.
