Introduction to quantum chromodynamics

Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) is based on the work of Adler, Bjorken and others. It was founded by Gellman and Fridge in 1972. It is a gauge theory of strong interactions, which describes the interaction of quarks that make up strongly acting particles (hadrons) and gauge fields associated with color quantum numbers. Strong interaction is considered to be a promising basic theory of strong interaction.
