Introduction to fission fragment
Fission fragments refer to nuclear fragments generated during the fission of heavy nuclei. The probability of a heavy nucleus splitting into two fragments is much greater than the probability of splitting into 3 or more pieces. Generally, the mass distribution of two fragments is uneven, one is heavier and the other is lighter, and the mass distribution shows two obvious peaks.
