Dye laser is a laser that uses organic dyes as the laser medium, usually a liquid solution. Compared to gas and solid laser media, dye lasers can generally be used in a wider range of wavelengths. Due to their wide bandwidth, they are particularly suitable for tunable lasers and pulsed lasers.
