It can be carried out with fingers or a special interdental massager or cleaner. Place the thumb and index finger on the lip (cheek) side and tongue (palate) side of the teeth, respectively, massage it slightly, and move it in the direction, along the gum level. Massage before and after 5 minutes. For the gingival papilla and root bifurcation, the gingiva can be massaged with a cone-shaped interdental massager, with the 45° tip pointing to the surface and rotating it repeatedly. Gum massage is contraindicated in patients with gingivitis, periodontitis and acute inflammation without periodontal surgery.
