Free radical reaction is a variety of chemical reactions in which free radicals participate. The outer layer of the free radical electron shell has an unpaired electron, which has a strong affinity to increase the second electron, so it can play the role of a strong oxidant. The more important ones in the atmosphere are OH-radicals, which can react with various trace gases.
