Failure Of The Tank Truck During Driving

Common fault 1: The tire of the tanker is punctured by a foreign body.

Tank truck tires are the most vulnerable to wear and damage. Especially when walking on mountain roads, the tires will always be broken by stones or iron nails. In order to save trouble, many drivers go to the maintenance shop on the roadside to repair them and continue on their way. In fact, this method can only be a temporary remedy. There will be great safety risks when driving. It is recommended that car owners find a professional repair shop for internal repair afterwards, because the professional repair shop will have special tools for disassembling tires, and it will be safer to repair after heating with a dedicated vulcanizer.

Common fault 2: The fuel consumption has increased greatly.

After using the tanker for a period of time, many drivers will find that fuel consumption has suddenly increased by more than 10%, and they are puzzled. In fact, the increase in fuel consumption also indicates a potential failure of the tanker truck. This is first to understand the reasons for the increase in fuel consumption, and then to solve them. There are many factors leading to increased fuel consumption. For example, the slippage of the clutch will result in the loss of the number of revolutions of the tanker engine, resulting in a sharp increase in fuel consumption, and the clutch pressure plate and driving wheel need to be replaced in time.

Common fault three: The brake system of the tanker is malfunctioning.

Failures of the tanker’s braking system include: excessive brake pedal stroke, slow braking action, low or even loss of braking efficiency of the tanker, and increased braking distance. There are three ways to troubleshoot this fault. Depress the brake pedal continuously. If the pedal gradually rises and has an elastic feel, but it is still very low when you step on the pedal after a short pause, that is, there is air in the brake system. At this time, the brake system should be exhausted. One-foot braking is not effective, but the braking effect is very good when the pedal is stepped on several times. Generally, the free stroke of the brake pedal is too large or the brake gap is too large. The pedal free stroke should be adjusted, and then the brake clearance should be checked, and the brake should be disassembled and repaired if necessary.
