Oct 24, 2022

Expansion is when the particles in an object move faster and therefore take up extra space when the object is heated, a phenomenon called expansion. The expansion rate of liquids is about 10 times larger than that of solids, and the expansion rate of gases is about 100 times larger than that of liquids.
