The effective dose equivalent represents the radiation dose of the whole body, which is used to evaluate the probability that radiation may cause our health effects, and to quantify radiation protection. It is defined as the sum of the product of the equivalent dose (HT) of each tissue or organ and the corresponding tissue weighting factor (WT).
