Diamagnetism
All matter is diamagnetic. Under the action of the external magnetic field, the orbital motion of the electron produces additional rotation (Larmor precession), the moment of momentum changes, and the induced magnetic moment opposite to the external magnetic field is generated, showing diamagnetism. However, it is masked by paramagnetic susceptibility (1 to 3 orders of magnitude larger than diamagnetism) in substances containing unpaired electrons.
