Cross-linked polyethylene insulation is that polyethylene is cross-linked between macromolecules under the action of high-energy rays or cross-linking agents, which can improve its heat resistance and other properties. The long-term working temperature of cables using XLPE as insulation can be increased to 90°C, and the instantaneous short-circuit temperature that can be tolerated can reach 170-250°C.
