Considerations for the maximum power transfer theorem
1. The maximum power transfer theorem is used for power supply of a port network, and the load resistance is adjustable;
2. The power consumed by the equivalent resistance of a port network is generally not equal to the power consumed inside the port network. Therefore, when the load obtains the maximum power, the transmission efficiency of the circuit is not necessarily equal to 50%;
3. The calculation of the maximum power problem is most convenient in combination with the application of the Thevenin (also called Thevenin) theorem or the Norton theorem.
