The Caribbean plate is a small east-west plate with the Caribbean Sea as the main body. The northern boundary is the Cayman left-traveling transition fault, and the southern boundary is the Falcon right-traveling transition fault that extends into northern Venezuela. The eastern boundary is along the Puerto Rico Trench east of the Lesser Antilles Arc.
