Decomposition of organic matter
90% of soil organic matter is decomposed by microorganisms. Soil animals such as mites, arthropods, earthworms and termites break up organisms and spread the propagules of decomposing microorganisms, greatly simplifying the degree of carbon decomposition, and they are called decomposers. Soil decomposers can be used for waste management and purification of contaminated soil.
