Tubular turbine characteristics

(1) The axial through shape from the inflow to the outflow direction is simple, the hydraulic loss of the overcurrent passage is reduced, the construction is convenient, and the efficiency is high, and the recovery function of the draft tube can account for more than 40% of the total head.

(2) The cross-flow unit has higher filtration capacity and specific speed, so the cross-flow type is about 10% smaller than the diameter of the propeller type under the same conditions of head and power.

(3) The cross-flow turbine is suitable for the operation of the reverse pump turbine. Since there is no sharp turn in the inlet and outlet water passages, both the pump working condition and the turbine working condition can obtain better hydraulic performance. If it is applied to tidal power station, it can have two functions of two-way power generation, two-way pumping and two-way water discharge. It is suitable for comprehensive development and utilization of low-head hydraulic resources. In addition, it can be used as a reversible pump turbine in the general irrigation and drainage station in the plain area. The scope is wider.

(4) The cross-flow hydropower station generally has a shorter construction period than the vertical axis, the investment is small, the effect is fast, the submerged immigrants are few, and the power station is close to the town, which is conducive to the enthusiasm of the region to build the power station.
