Thermal equilibrium
At a certain temperature, a dynamic equilibrium is established between the two opposite processes of electron transition from a low-energy quantum state to a high-energy quantum state and electron transition from a high-energy quantum state to a low-energy quantum state, which is called thermal equilibrium.
