The principle of cleaning the fuel filter
The function of the fuel filter is to filter out moisture and impurities in the gasoline. When the engine is working, the fuel enters the sedimentation cup of the filter through the oil inlet pipe under the action of the gasoline pump. As the volume becomes larger at this time, the flow rate becomes smaller, water and impurity particles heavier than oil deposit on the bottom of the cup, and light impurities flow with the fuel to the filter element, and the clean fuel penetrates the inside of the filter element from the micropores of the filter element, and then Flow through the oil pipe.
The filter element is available in both porous ceramic and paper. The paper filter element is made of resin-treated microporous filter paper, which has high filtration efficiency, low cost and convenient replacement, so it is widely used.
The fuel filter has a carburetor type and an electrospray type. The gasoline engine of the carburetor is used. The gasoline filter is located at the inlet side of the oil pump, and the working pressure is small. Generally, the nylon casing is used, and the electrospray engine is used. The fuel filter is located on the outlet side of the oil pump and has a high working pressure, usually in a metal casing. The filter element of the gasoline filter is mostly made of filter paper, and also uses nylon cloth or polymer material.
