The function of the manual transmission
(1) Change the transmission ratio and expand the range of variation of the drive wheel torque and speed to adapt to changing driving conditions.
(2) Under the premise that the direction of rotation of the car engine is unchanged, the reverse gear is used to realize the reverse running of the car.
(3) In the case that the engine does not turn off, the use of neutral to interrupt the power transmission is beneficial to the engine starting, warming up, idle speed, easy to shift or car taxiing, temporary parking and other working conditions.
(4) The engine is the power output to drive other mechanisms through the transmission, such as the winch of some cars, the oil pump of the dump truck, and the like.
