The rotation axis is the geometric line on which the rotationally symmetric action is performed. The axis of rotation is the geometric line along which the rotationally symmetric action takes place. When the rotation action acts on the image (or molecule), the vertical distance between any point in the image and the rotation axis (line) must always remain constant.
