Fuel tanks can be divided into two types: open fuel tanks and closed fuel tanks. Open fuel tank, the liquid level in the tank communicates with the atmosphere, and an air filter is installed on the fuel tank cover.
The open oil tank has simple structure and easy installation and maintenance. This type of hydraulic system is generally adopted. Closed fuel tanks are generally used for pressure fuel tanks, filled with a certain pressure of inert gas, and the inflation pressure can reach 0.05MPa.
If divided according to the shape of the fuel tank, it can be divided into rectangular fuel tank and round tank-shaped fuel tank. Rectangular fuel tanks are easy to manufacture, and hydraulic devices are easy to place on the tank, so they are widely used; round tank-shaped fuel tanks have high strength, light weight, and easy cleaning, but they are difficult to manufacture and occupy a large space. They are often used in large metallurgical equipment.
