Notes on the thread micrometer
(1) Do not use excessive force when turning the knob and force measuring device;
(2) When turning the knob to bring the micrometer screw close to the object to be measured, the force measuring device must be changed. Do not turn the knob to press the screw on the object to be measured;
(3) When the micro-screw and the anvil have caught the object to be measured or tightened the locking device, never turn the knob forcibly;
(4) When using a micrometer to measure the same length, the measurement should be repeated L times in general, and the average value is taken as the measurement result;
(5) After using the micrometer, wipe it with gauze, leave a little space between the anvil and the screw, and put it in the box. If not used for a long time, put butter or oil on it and place it in a dry place. Be careful not to expose it to corrosive gases.
