Main use of multi-function voltage divider
Since there is no electrical isolation between the divider output and the primary line, the voltage divider is primarily used to:
1. DC high voltage measurement of the grounding system.
2. Power frequency AC high voltage measurement between the phase and ground of the grounding system.
