Krypton difluoride, chemical formula KrF₂, is the only known fluoride of krypton. It decomposes spontaneously into krypton and fluorine at room temperature, and the decomposition rate is very fast at 93 °C. It is only stable below -30°C and can be stored at dry ice temperature (-78°C) for a long time. It has stronger oxidizing property than fluorine, decomposes rapidly in contact with water, and can form various adducts with other fluorides.
