Isotropic introduction

When there is an axis of symmetry inside the object, the properties of the object in the plane perpendicular to the axis of symmetry (transverse direction) are the same in all directions, that is to say, there is no directionality. Such a property is called transverse isotropy. The isotropic planes in the transversely isotropic medium are parallel to each other.
