Introduction to uranium nuclear fission
The uranium core is a physical element. The uranium has three isotopes. The so-called isotope refers to the same number of protons in their nucleus, but the elements containing different numbers of neutrons are placed in the same position in the element period. , namely uranium-234, uranium-235 and uranium-238. Among them, uranium-234 and uranium-238 do not undergo nuclear fission, and only the uranium-235 isotope atom can undergo nuclear fission, or uranium-235 is actually nuclear fuel. However, the uranium-235 content extracted from the mine is very low, accounting for only 0.66%, the vast majority is uranium-238, which accounts for 99.2%.
