Introduction to Ribulose
Ribulose is a monosaccharide having a pentose structure corresponding to ribose. There is no example of polymerization in a free state, but its 5-phosphate and 7-sedum heptulose phosphate co-occur in the important reaction pathway of photosynthesis.
