Introduction to internal resistance
Internal resistance refers to the equivalent impedance inside the DC or AC power supply. The former is pure resistance, and the latter generally has resistance and reactance components. It can also represent the real part of the impedance when the whole of active electronic devices, measuring instruments or other electronic equipment is equivalent to a network.
